If I am eating brussel sprouts, they HAVE to be seasoned. They have to be packed with flavor so I don't taste their sourness. Is that a weird word for it? I feel like they taste pungent by themselves.

Don't get me wrong, I know a simple brussel sprout with melted butter or oil and some seasoning does the trick, but this cheese sauce takes it to a whole new level.

Yes it is packed with fats, but they are good for you. I promise. Everything in moderation is key guys. Except drugs, don't do those in moderation.

Okay I'm done with myself for the night.

Start off by lightly boiling your sprouts, do not over cook.

On the side you'll also start to make a roux.

If you don't know what a roux is, it is a base made from usually flour or cornstarch, and butter. Then you add your other ingredients slowly.

In this case, you will be building a cheesy roux.

Slowly mix in your flour to your butter/garlic mixture.

Add in your milk and fresh grated cheese.

Keep whisking and do not let your cheese sauce to burn!

After your roux is done, start layering your sprouts, cheese, bacon, and topping cheese!

I baked for around 20 minutes or so on 375 :) This is a great side dish to some protein like chicken!
